Yep, you can use pretty much any amiibo in Tears of the Kingdom! They all work, but specific Zelda-related amiibos give you themed loot that's more relevant to the game. So, if you've got a Link or Zelda amiibo lying around, those will get you some neat goodies. But don't worry, your Mario or Kirby amiibo will still drop something useful, just not as thematic.

Nah, not every amiibo gives you cool stuff in Tears of the Kingdom. Stick to the Zelda ones for the best loot. Other amiibos? Meh, it's a surprise box of random.

I've been using my old school Link amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. collection, and it's amazing! Each time, I get gear that throws back to classic Zelda vibes. Plus, my roommate's Animal Crossing amiibos also work, but the items are more on the random side. It's like a little treasure hunt every time!

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
