Miyamoto? In Tears of the Kingdom? Nah, he wasn't really in the trenches. Think of him more like the wise grandmaster watching over his pupils, making sure they don't stray too far from the path. His name isn't plastered all over it, but you bet his spirit is!

Yep, Shigeru Miyamoto, the legend himself, was involved in Tears of the Kingdom, but not in the way you might think. He didn't have a direct hand in the game's development like directing or designing. Instead, Miyamoto served in a supervisory role, providing oversight and ensuring the game stayed true to the core values of the Zelda series. So while you won't see him coding or drawing, his influence is all over the game!

People toss Miyamoto's name around like he's the fairy godmother of every Zelda game. While he's crucial to the series, for Tears of the Kingdom, he passed the torch to others. So, direct involvement? Not really. Influence? Absolutely.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
