Do Headshots Count as Criticals in Fallout 76?
Not exactly. In Fallout 76, landing a headshot does deal more damage than hitting other parts of the body, but it's not considered a 'critical' in the game mechanics sense. Critical hits are specifically tied to your VATS system. You fill up your critical meter by hitting enemies, and once it's full, you can unleash a critical hit on your target for massive damage. So, headshots = more damage, but not the same as critical hits.

Headshots deal extra damage but don't automatically count as critical hits. Critical hits are a whole other thing you activate in VATS.
