Dragon Ball GT is totally optional! If you're a completionist, give it a go for some extra Goku adventures. Otherwise, you can skip it and still enjoy the core series.
I watched GT and enjoyed it, but it's definitely not essential. The original series and Dragon Ball Super are where the main action's at.
GT has its moments, but it's not required watching. If you want to see Goku turn into a Super Saiyan 4, it's worth a peek!
