Yes, if your PlayStation Plus subscription lapses, you lose access to the free monthly games. But don鈥檛 worry! You can reclaim them if you resubscribe.

From personal experience, I can say that as long as you maintain your PS Plus subscription, you can always access those games, no matter when you downloaded them.
