Sorry to break it to ya, but PS3 discs aren't compatible with the PS5. Sony didn't include backward compatibility for PS3 games on the PS5.

Nope, PS3 discs don't work on the PS5. You can still play some PS3 titles through PlayStation Now, though!

From personal experience, I tried popping in my PS3 copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 into the PS5 and nada! It didn't recognize the disc at all.
