Nope! You don't have to pay to access the basic PlayStation Network features like the PlayStation Store, friends list, and direct messaging. However, if you want to play online multiplayer games on your PS4 or PS5, you'll need a PlayStation Plus subscription.

I鈥檝e been using PlayStation Network for years, and you only need PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer. Everything else, like buying games and chatting, is free!

You don't need to pay to use the PlayStation Network for things like buying games or chatting with friends. But if you want to crush your buddies in Fortnite, you'll need to spring for PS Plus.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
