You don't need PlayStation Plus to play Zombie Chronicles if you're only playing the solo modes. However, for online multiplayer and Zombies co-op, you'll need that PS Plus subscription.

Yes, you need PlayStation Plus for the multiplayer bits, but single-player is good without it.

Nope, PlayStation Plus isn鈥檛 required for solo play on Zombie Chronicles. You just need it if you want to play with others online.
