Yup, the PS5 can be a bit of an energy hog. But hey, those stunning graphics and fast load times need some juice, right?

The PS5 does use more electricity than previous PlayStation versions, especially when running high-demand games, but it鈥檚 not outrageous compared to other gaming consoles. If you鈥檙e concerned about power usage, consider using rest mode or turning it off when not in use.

Not really. It's on par with other high-performance electronics.

I鈥檝e had my PS5 for a year now, and while it does consume more power during gameplay, it's not something that made a noticeable difference on my electricity bill. Just don't leave it on all the time!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
