Nope, you don't need to worry about antivirus software on your Steam Deck. It runs on a custom SteamOS based on Linux, which is pretty resilient to viruses compared to other operating systems. Just enjoy your gaming without that extra headache!

Steam Deck's SteamOS is Linux-based, which generally sees fewer viruses than Windows. However, no system is 100% safe, so if you're planning on browsing the web or downloading stuff from shady sources, a bit of extra caution wouldn't hurt. That said, for just gaming and using the Steam store, you're likely fine without it.

Nah, antivirus on Steam Deck? Overkill. It's like putting floaties on a submarine. Just use common sense online, and you'll be golden.

Actually, considering how closed the ecosystem is, adding antivirus might do more harm than good. It could interfere with game performance or even SteamOS itself.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
