Oh yeah, Tears of the Kingdom and Skyward Sword are totally part of the same Zelda universe, but they're not direct sequels or anything. Think of it more like distant relatives. TotK continues the story from Breath of the Wild, focusing on Link's adventures in Hyrule. Skyward Sword is kinda like the origin story of the whole Zelda timeline. There are easter eggs and references in TotK that long-time fans will spot, showing how interconnected the Zelda universe really is!

Actually, while Tears of the Kingdom follows Breath of the Wild, it still has some cool callbacks to Skyward Sword and other Zelda games. It's like a love letter to the entire series.

Nah, they ain't directly connected. Tears of the Kingdom picks up after Breath of the Wild, so it's more of a sequel to that. Skyward Sword's way back at the origin of the timeline.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
