Yep, the Combat Rifle can indeed be modded with a .308 Receiver. You just gotta find the right mod plans for it or hope lady luck is on your side when you're out scavenging. Once you've got it, you can switch that bad boy to .308, making it pack a bigger punch at the cost of more recoil and using those precious .308 rounds.

Nah, stick with the standard. .308 ammo's too pricey and harder to come by. Plus, the recoil? Forget about it. You're better off keeping it as it is.

Can confirm! Got the .308 Receiver mod on my Combat Rifle last week. It's a game-changer. Hits harder and makes you feel like a true wasteland warrior. Sure, it chews through ammo faster, but the damage boost is totally worth it.

If you're a Fallout 76 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
