How did Goku die in Dragon Ball Z?
Goku died the first time when he sacrificed himself to defeat Raditz. He held Raditz in place so that Piccolo could hit them both with his Special Beam Cannon. He died again during the Cell Saga when he teleported Cell, who was about to self-destruct, to King Kai's planet to save Earth.
