To delete your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, you need to boot up the game and press the '-' button on the Nintendo Switch during the game's title screen. This will bring up Tom Nook's settings. From there, select 'Save Data Settings', and then 'Delete Island'. Remember, this is a one-way trip for your island's inhabitants, so make sure you've packed up all your memories before you say goodbye!

Hot take: Why delete your island at all? Just start a new character for a fresh perspective without losing all your progress. Sometimes a little change is all you need!

Just a heads up, deleting your Animal Crossing island is permanent. So, if you have even a speck of doubt about it, maybe reconsider. Spent too much time terraforming and befriending your villagers? Might wanna hold off on pressing that delete button.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
