Crossing a river in Animal Crossing is super easy once you get the right tools! At the start, you might feel a bit stranded, but don't worry. You'll soon get a Vaulting Pole from Blathers, the owl who runs the museum. With the Vaulting Pole, you just stand near a river, select it from your inventory, and voilà, you leap over to the other side like an Olympic athlete!

Just build a bridge. It takes a bit longer since you need to gather resources and possibly get Tom Nook to help you out, but it’s worth it. Looks way nicer than hopping back and forth like a frog.

Vaulting Pole. One word. Gamechanger.

Honestly, I just like to find the narrowest point and imagine I can make the jump without any tools. Makes for a good laugh.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
