To get your Sim dirty, simply neglect their hygiene needs. Don't let them bathe or wash their hands for a couple of days.
Just don't use any hygiene-related items like showers, sinks, or bathtubs. Worked for me!
Forget the shower for a bit and let your Sim's hygiene meter drop. They'll be a dirt magnet soon enough!
Just leave your Sim without a shower or bath for a while! They'll start to look pretty messy in no time.
