From my experience, it takes around 2 hours to charge a PS3 controller. If you're in a hurry, 30 minutes should give you a good amount of playtime!

A PlayStation 3 controller usually takes about 2 hours to fully charge. Just enough time to prep some snacks for your next gaming session!

Honestly, it depends on how drained the battery is, but generally, 2 hours should do the trick.
