In my experience, it takes about 10 minutes or so. Unless you have slow internet, then it might feel like forever!
Lightning round answer: about 5-15 minutes, depending on your internet speed and the size of the update.
Honestly, it usually takes me less than 10 minutes. But I’ve had updates that took longer when there was a bigger patch.
