Just the app? Barely over 1GB. But add a few games, and suddenly you'll need a new hard drive. Steam is like a digital cookie jar that keeps getting bigger the more you add to it.

It really depends on what you鈥檝e got going on in it. The Steam client itself is pretty lightweight, around 1GB, but the real estate quickly gets eaten up by games, DLCs, and updates. Before you know it, Steam is taking up more space than a digital hoarder.

1GB for the client, but who stops there? Each game is a digital footprint. Think of Steam as a shoe closet; the size depends on how many pairs you own.

Steam's initial install won't break your data bank鈥攅xpect to use about 1GB. But keep in mind, that's just the appetizer. Each game, update, and the occasional screenshot collection will fatten it up faster than Thanksgiving dinner.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
