Honestly, might be cheaper to just buy a used one off eBay for around $80-100 instead of fixing it.

I had to replace the thermal paste on my PS3 a couple of years ago. It only cost me around $20 for the materials, but if you go to a repair shop, it might cost you around $70-$100.
