How to add Minecraft to Steam Deck
First thing's first, you'll wanna get Minecraft Java or Bedrock edition onto your Steam Deck. Since Minecraft isn't directly available on Steam, you'll need to add it as a non-Steam game. Easy peasy - just minimize SteamOS, hop into Desktop mode, and download the Minecraft Launcher from the official Minecraft website. Once it's installed, shift back to Gaming mode, head to your Steam Library, and choose 'Add a Game' at the bottom left, then 'Add a Non-Steam Game'. Browse to where Minecraft is installed, select it, and voila, Minecraft now lives in your Steam Library. Fire it up from there, and you're mining and crafting with the best of them!

Tried adding Minecraft to my Steam Deck and it's totally worth the little effort. Just grab the launcher from Minecraft's site in Desktop mode, add the game to Steam, and it runs smooth. Makes it so much easier to jump in and play without fumbling around.
Honestly, just install Minecraft as a non-Steam game. It's not rocket science. Go to desktop mode, download, switch back, add the game. No biggie.
