I did this last week, and it's super simple! Just connect the new controller to your PS5 with a USB cable, hit the PS button, and once it's connected, you can remove the cable and start playing wirelessly.

First, plug a USB cable into the controller and the PS5. Then press the PS button in the center of the new controller. Once it's connected, you can unplug the cable and use it wirelessly.
