To backup your Animal Crossing island, you need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. First, go to the game’s title screen. Then, press the '-' button to access the settings. Tom Nook will show up to guide you through enabling the island backup service. Remember, you gotta have that online subscription, or it's a no-go!

Backing up your island without Nintendo Switch Online? Impossible. Save yourself the heartache and just subscribe.

Honestly, just get the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. It’s the only way to backup and it’s worth it for the peace of mind knowing your island is safe.

Just turn on the island backup feature in the settings by pressing '-' on the game's title screen. It's super easy, but don't forget you need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to make it work!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
