Just press the power button and BAM! The magic of gaming begins. If it doesn't, well, make sure it's not just out of battery.

To boot your Steam Deck, press and hold the power button located on the top of the device until the screen lights up. It's pretty straightforward, just like turning on most handheld gadgets or laptops. If it's your first time booting up, you'll go through the initial setup process, including connecting to Wi-Fi, logging into your Steam account, and possibly updating the system software. Make sure it's charged or plugged in if it doesn't turn on immediately.

You have to press the power button... seriously, it's that simple. But here's a pro tip: keep it charged. There's nothing worse than planning a gaming marathon only to find your Steam Deck as dead as a doornail right when you're about to start.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
