Ah, the elusive sideways bridge! In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there's no direct way to build a bridge sideways due to the game's grid system and the way it aligns structures. Bridges can only span across rivers in a straight line. However, if you're aiming for a diagonally placed bridge, you can terraform the riverbanks to align diagonally and then place your bridge. It's all about manipulating your island's layout to fit your vision!

You can't. Bridges gotta respect the grid. Straight across the river or nothing.

Tried and tested - you can't officially make a sideways bridge. What you can do is get creative with terraforming. Make your rivers run diagonally and place your bridge over that. It鈥檚 all about illusion and playing with perspective. Turned my island into a masterpiece this way!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
