Catching an oarfish in Animal Crossing: New Leaf is actually quite exciting! You gotta keep an eye out for a huge shadow in the ocean between December and May. Make sure you fish between 4 pm and 9 am to increase your chances. And remember, patience is key! They're rare, but with enough persistence, you'll snag one!

I caught mine totally by accident! It was late at night, and I was just fishing for whatever. Saw this massive shadow, and bam, it was an oarfish. So, yeah, fish at night and look for those big shadows. You might get lucky like I did!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
