Why change perfection? The Steam Deck's startup is fine as it is. #TeamDefault

Changing the Steam Deck startup is pretty straightforward! Just dive into the SteamOS Settings, head to the System settings section, and there you'll find the Startup Settings option. This lets you tweak how your Steam Deck boots up, including which mode (Gaming or Desktop) it starts in. You can also set a specific game to launch on startup if you're looking to jump straight into the action!

Actually, you can't change the startup sound or animation directly through settings - it's not officially supported. But, if you're feeling adventurous, there are community guides out there on how to tweak system files to customize the boot sequence. Just be careful, messing with system files can be risky business!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
