Actually, you can't change your 'Steam username' because it's your permanent identity on Steam. What you can change anytime is your 'Steam Profile Name', which is what people see. Just a heads up that your Steam username and profile name are two different things!

Changing your Steam username is a breeze! Just remember, you can't change your permanent 'Steam ID', which is what developers and co-op games use to identify you. However, you can change your Steam Profile Name at any time. Here's how you do it: Open Steam, click on 'Profile' on the top right corner, then 'Edit Profile' and there you'll find the option to change your 'Profile Name'. This is the name your friends and other players will see in games and on your profile.

It's a common misunderstanding, but your Steam username, the one you log in with, is set in stone. What you can actually change is your display name, or 'Profile Name' as Steam calls it. That's the name everyone sees, so make it a good one!

Nope, can't change your actual Steam username, only the display name. Which, honestly, is what really matters since that's how you're known in the gaming world.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
