Chopping down trees in Animal Crossing is pretty straightforward but remember, you'll need the right tools for the job! First, make sure you've got yourself an axe. Not just any axe—the Flimsy Axe will only chip the tree, but you'll need either a Stone Axe or a regular Axe to really take it down. Stand in front of the tree you want to chop, and just keep hitting it with your axe. Three solid hits should do the trick, and timber! Down comes the tree. But hey, think before you chop. Trees are great for the environment and sometimes they're home to special surprises or friends.

Just use an axe, mate. Three whacks and you're good. And make sure it's the right kind of axe unless you wanna be there all day.

I learned the hard way that not all axes are created equal in Animal Crossing. Tried chopping a tree with a Flimsy Axe and just ended up feeling sorry for the tree. Upgraded to a regular Axe, and it was a game-changer. Trees fell after three hits, and I finally got the space I needed to build my dream house next to the river. Just be mindful of where you're chopping; those trees don't grow back overnight.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
