To clear your PS4 for selling, first back up your data, then go to Settings > Initialization > Restore Default Settings. Finally, choose Initialize PS4 and select 'Full' for a thorough wipe.

I sold my PS4 last month. Just go to Settings, choose Initialization, and then Initialize PS4. Don't forget to pick 'Full'!

Factory reset it! Go to Settings, then Initialization, and click on Initialize PS4. Just make sure to pick the 'Full' option for a complete wipe.
