As a last resort, you can always use the in-game menu to delete individual saves if you don't want to mess with file directories. Saves time and prevents headaches!
If you're on Steam, you can also go to the game's properties and use 'Delete Local Content' to nuke everything, but beware, it's a bit like using a sledgehammer to kill a fly.
