Just click on the tile at the top of the ladder while selecting your soldier. They'll automatically climb up or down.
Click on the ladder icon when you move your soldier near it. They'll begin climbing to the next level in no time.
Just select your soldier, move the cursor over the ladder, and click! They'll climb it automatically. Easy peasy!
Honestly, just point and click at the top of the ladder. If your soldier feels like climbing, they'll do it.
