If you're looking to transfer files, just use a USB cable. Connect the PS3 controller to the PC and navigate to the USB device option on the PS3.

I used to do this all the time! Get a video capture card, plug in your PS3 using the HDMI, then connect it to your PC’s USB. Software like OBS can then display the feed.
