You can't directly connect a PS5 to a laptop using HDMI because both the PS5 and the laptop HDMI ports are output only. You'd need a capture card to make it work!

To connect a PS5 to a laptop, you need an HDMI capture card. Plug the PS5 into the capture card, then connect the card to your laptop via USB.

I tried this! You'll need an HDMI capture card and some streaming software like OBS Studio. It lets your laptop act like a display.
