For a seamless connection, use a Bluetooth dongle and SCP Toolkit. Just install the drivers, and you’re good to go. I've done this a million times!

Honestly, just buy a PS4 controller. It's way easier to connect, and it works much better on PC.

DS3 Tool (better known as MotioninJoy) can also do the job, but it's a bit buggy. I recommend SCP Toolkit instead.
