Oh, wanna say bye-bye to a villager, huh? Just hit up the settings when you're on the Animal Crossing title screen. There’s this cool dude Tom Nook who'll walk you through the steps. Choose the 'Save data settings' and then 'Delete resident registration.' But remember, once they're gone, they're gone for good along with their house and everything they did!

Quick tip: If you're just trying to get rid of an unwanted villager and not delete your whole character, ignoring them totally or complaining to Isabelle in Resident Services sometimes does the trick! Less drastic than wiping them out entirely.

Deleting a resident wipes all their progress. Be sure it's what you really want. Personal experience here, regretted it!

Just don't like someone? Talk to Isabelle, she knows how to handle the troublesome villagers. Trust.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
