Disabling Steam Input is pretty easy! Just right click on your game in your Steam Library > Properties > Controller, and then choose 'Disable Steam Input'. Voila, you're all set to play your game without Steam messing with your controller settings!

Actually, ditching Steam Input can sometimes make your controller wonkier than a three-legged chair at a rodeo. Some games are just built to vibe better with it.

Had to turn off Steam Input for a game that was acting up. Worked like a charm, game recognized my controller immediately. Sometimes that's all it takes to fix controller issues.
