Oh, so you wanna be a shield-surfing legend in Tears of the Kingdom, huh? Easy peasy! First, you gotta have your shield equipped. Then, while standing and moving, jump with X and press ZL to whip out your shield beneath your feet. Once you're surfing, you can use the left stick to steer. Want to add some flair? Jump again while on your shield, and Link will do a cool spin move. Keep an eye on your shield's durability though, wouldn't wanna break your favorite one!

Been shield surfing the hills of Hyrule since the day Tears of the Kingdom dropped. Pro tip: if you jump right before a slope ends, you get a sick air boost. Makes you feel like a true Hylian skateboarder. Oh, and different shields have different 'surf feels,' so experiment to find your fav!

Just jump and hit ZL. That's it. No need to overcomplicate things.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
