You gotta dive into Settings > Users and Accounts > Privacy > View and Customize Your Privacy Settings, and then make sure 'Can Communicate with Anyone' is allowed.

Just go into the game settings and make sure crossplay is enabled there. Easy peasy!

To enable crossplay on PS5, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Privacy > View and Customize Your Privacy Settings. Allow 'Can Communicate with Anyone' in the settings.
