Short answer: You can't. To evolve Meltan into Melmetal, you HAVE to transfer it to Pokemon GO and feed it 400 Meltan candies. Sorry!

Unfortunately, Meltan can only evolve into Melmetal through Pokemon GO. You need to transfer it to Pokemon GO and gather 400 Meltan candies there. Happy hunting!

You can't evolve Meltan in Pokemon Sword without using Pokemon GO. It's a bummer, but that's the only way.
