Resetting your Steam Deck back to factory settings is pretty straightforward, but remember it'll wipe everything! First, turn off your Steam Deck. Then, hold down the Volume Down button and press the Power button until you see the Steam logo. You'll enter the Recovery menu. Use the Volume buttons to navigate to 'Clear user data' and push the Power button to select it. Confirm your choice, and voilà, factory reset accomplished!

Pro tip: Always make sure to back up your game saves to the cloud before a factory reset. That way, you don't lose your precious Skyrim saves that took 100+ hours.

Just a heads up, factory resetting your Steam Deck means saying goodbye to all your data. If you've got anything important, make sure you back it up first. Learned that the hard way...

Honestly, just sell it as is. Who has the time to reset things?

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
