Finding new fish in Animal Crossing is part of the fun! The trick is to check different locations at various times of the day and throughout the year, as some fish only appear in specific months or times. Don't forget to fish in the ocean, rivers, and ponds, because each spot has unique fish. Also, rain can bring out rare fish, so grab your fishing rod during a downpour for a chance at some cool catches!

Pro tip from personal experience: always check the silhouette of the fish in the water. Different fish have different shadow sizes, so if you're after a specific one, learn its shadow size. Saved me tons of time instead of catching the same old fish over and over!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
