How to fix charging port on PS3 controller
Try cleaning the charging port first! Use a small brush or compressed air to remove any dust or debris. If that doesn't work, you might need to replace the USB port. You can find guides online to help with this, but be warned, it requires some soldering skills.

Use a charging dock. It's a workaround, but it can save you from fiddling with the port!
Had the same issue with mine. Ended up buying a new cable, and it worked fine. Sometimes it's just the cable, not the port!
Honestly, the quickest fix is to get a new controller. It might be cheaper than repairing it if you're not handy with electronics.
