Most of the time, corrupted data on PS5 can be fixed by deleting the game and reinstalling it. Make sure your saves are backed up on PS Plus cloud storage first!

First, try restarting your PS5 in Safe Mode. Power it down completely, then hold the power button until you hear a second beep. From the Safe Mode menu, choose 'Rebuild Database.'

Try clearing your PS5's cache. Turn off the console, then hold the power button until you hear the second beep鈥攋ust like entering Safe Mode. Select 'Clear Cache and Rebuild Database' from the Safe Mode menu.

In my experience, corrupted data on PS5 often means the game needs a patch. Check for any available updates for the game, and make sure your system software is up to date too!

Just delete the game data and reinstall it. Most of the time, that does the trick.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
