Try rubbing a little toothpaste on the scratch, then rinse and dry the disc. Just don't brush too hard – it's not your teeth!

I've had success using a soft cloth with some mild soapy water. Clean from the center outward and dry thoroughly.

Honestly, if the scratch is deep, you might need to replace the disc. The DIY fixes only work for minor scratches.

You can also buy a disc repair kit. They work pretty well and are designed exactly for this problem!

I once used a banana on a scratched disc. Rubbed it on, wiped it clean, and surprisingly, it worked!
