You could try cleaning around the base of the stick with some isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. Sometimes dirt and grime cause the drift!

I had this issue, and what worked for me was to buy a joystick repair kit online. It was straightforward to replace the potentiometer.

Just buy a new controller. Fixing stick drift isn't worth the effort.

If you're feeling adventurous, open up the controller and re-calibrate the joystick. It's a bit tricky but can save you from buying a new one.
