Super easy! Go to 'Settings' > 'System Settings' > 'Format Utility' on your PS3. Follow the on-screen instructions, and voila! Your hard drive will be formatted without needing a computer.

Go to 'Settings' > 'System Settings' > 'Format Utility' on your PS3. Select 'Format Hard Disk' and just follow the prompts. Couldn't be simpler!

Really? Just head to 'Settings' > 'System Settings' > 'Format Utility' and then 'Format Hard Disk'. Your PS3 will handle the rest.

Why would you even need a computer for that? Use the 'Format Utility' in the PS3's 'System Settings'. Done and done.
