Hold the eject button on the front of the PS4 for about 7 seconds until you hear a beep, the disc should pop out after that. If that doesn't work, try turning off the PS4 and then turning it back on—sometimes it’s just a little stuck!

I had the same issue and manually ejected it using a screwdriver. Turn off the PS4, unplug it, and locate the manual eject screw (you can find its location in the user guide or online). Turn the screw counterclockwise to release the disc. Worked like a charm for me!

Just reboot the system and see if it ejects automatically. Worked for me!

If your PS4 is vertically oriented, try laying it flat and then pressing the eject button. Sometimes gravity helps!

You may need to update the system software. Sometimes an out-of-date system can cause the disc drive to malfunction. Go to Settings > System Software Update and make sure you have the latest update installed.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
