You can't directly transfer PS3 avatars to a PS5. However, you can check the PlayStation Store for PS3 avatars that might be available for purchase on the PS5.

Had the same question! PS3 avatars don't transfer to PS5, but you can find similar ones on the PlayStation Store for PS5.
