Easy peasy! Just head to the Steam settings, find the 'In-Game' tab, and there should be an option to disable the Steam overlay keyboard. Deselect that, and bam, no more pop-up keyboard during your game time.

If you're on the Steam Deck, you need to go into the settings specifically for the Steam Deck, not just the general Steam settings. There's a toggle there for the on-screen keyboard.
